White House slams GOP governors for transporting migrants to Martha's Vineyard

The Trump administration has once again criticized Republican governors for sending asylum seekers to places run by the opposition party. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has pledged to use up all of the state's $12 million migrant relocation programme.

Days before, DeSantis had flown two aircraft full of roughly 50 migrants to the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard. They're now staying in a makeshift shelter at Joint Base Cape Cod, where Elaine Quijano is there with more supplies. It is a pleasure to see you this morning, Elaine. I hope you're having a good day so far, Jeff.

One of the attorneys who travelled to Massachusetts with the Martha's Vineyard migrants told us that some of the new arrivals were hesitant to leave the island following their traumatic experiences in the state.

The arrival at this US military facility is only another stop on a long and perilous trip for these people. Biden agreed with Republican Governor Charlie Baker's criticism of the Republican governors of Florida, Texas, and Arizona for sending more than 12,000 migrants to Democratic strongholds in the past five months instead of working with us to find solutions.

The Republicans are exploiting people as pawns in their political games. It's improper for them to act in this way. I cannot stress how un-American this is. It's really careless.

Florida's Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, who used a $12 million fund to arrange flights for migrants from Texas to Martha's Vineyard, has justified his actions by stating, "They already busted them out."

We wanted everyone, they reportedly stated. There are no illegal immigrants on Cape Cod since they are all gone within two days. The length of the migrants' stay at this military facility is unknown. Dana All right, Elaine; I appreciate your time.
